Spring Car Cleaning Tips

Cleaning your car in winter sounds miserable, no matter what climate you live in. The cold weather is slowly fading, which means warm spring weather will be arriving soon. Take the time to clean your car now so you can enjoy the weather when it finally arrives. Check out these informative spring car cleaning tips from us here at Quebedeaux Mitsubishi.

  • Wheels – While you may expect a massive amount of dirt and grime to have built up in the wheels, odds are you’ll still be surprised by how much is hidden by the hubcaps. Remove the hubcaps in order to begin scrubbing the wheels and wheel wells. Doing so reduces the wear on your tires and rims, while also reducing the chance of any major problems in the future.
  • Trunk – Many drivers tend to throw items right into the trunk if they don’t need it at that moment. Spring is soon approaching, which means now is a great time to dig everything out in preparation of picnics and traveling.
  • Windows – Wet salt can do a number on your windows and can blur your vision. Use window cleaner and a towel to leave behind a crystal clear view that allows you to take in your surroundings; don’t forget about the windshield.

These simple cleaning tips should get your car shining bright for spring. If you decide you want a new vehicle, feel free to visit us here at Quebedeaux Mitsubishi and we’ll be happy to help!

2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

Older drivers will likely remember the stylish Eclipse sports coupe that ruled the road before leaving the market for good in 2012. Mitsubishi is reviving the name for a new vehicle, but it isn’t a sports coupe. The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will be a small, value-oriented crossover designed to offer drivers the best the industry has to offer.

The Eclipse Cross fits nicely between the existing Outlander Sport and Outlander with a similar wheelbase and 173.4-inch length. The next Outlander Sport is likely to shrink while the standard Outlander will grow, according to Mitsubishi.

The upcoming model features a sleek, attractive design and upscale interior designed to offer a new level of comfort. The standard 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine comes mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission and produces more than the Outlander’s 166 hp. The crossover will also feature the driver’s choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations.

As for technology, the 2018 Eclipse Cross features available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a head-up display, and much more. The crossover will officially go on sale early next year; European markets will see the new vehicle sooner.

We can’t wait for the new Eclipse Cross to make its way to our lot here at Quebedeaux Mitsubishi!
