New Mitsubishi Ad Campaign Focuses on Crossovers

2019 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

It’s no secret that Mitsubishi has been focusing more and more on its crossover lineup. That’s why it doesn’t come as a surprise that the Japanese carmaker has decided to start a new ad campaign focusing specifically on these models.

The new Mitsubishi ad campaign embraces the brand’s new crossover-focused identity, highlighting the Mitsubishi Outlander, Outlander Sport, Outlander PHEV, and Eclipse Cross. This new series of advertisements illustrates the features that Mitsubishi crossovers have that outshine the competition.

In one ad, you will see an emphasis on the standard smartphone connectivity available in the Eclipse Cross. It also showcases the Eclipse Cross’s panoramic sunroof. A second commercial highlights the Outlander PHEV’s fuel efficiency, along with the impressive Mitsubishi powertrain warranty, which covers 10 years/100,000 miles. In the third 30-second spot, these features are all celebrated, showcasing the entirety of the brand’s lineup.

In the past year, Mitsubishi has increased its sales at the end of nearly every month, which is a testament to how popular crossover vehicles are becoming in the current market. The Mitsubishi sales increase is in direct contrast with the rest of the industry, which has experienced sales losses. So far this year, the brand has sold 16,148 Outlanders and 9,917 Eclipse Cross models.

“Outlander offers consumers one of the best value packages in an incredibly popular segment, and Kelley Blue Book’s 5-Year Cost to Own Award is a testament to that value,” said Mark Chaffin, COO, MMNA. “Boasting the lowest projected long-term operating costs in its segment, the Mitsubishi Outlander continues to impress consumers and offers the safety, dependability and conveniences they are looking for in a CUV.”

The KBB 5-Year Cost to Own awards are given out to the vehicles with the lowest predicted ownership costs over the course of five years. 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Features Cosmetic Updates

2019 Mitsubishi Outlander GT

The refreshed 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport receives a handful of major cosmetic changes for the upcoming model year. Although it isn’t a full redesign, the new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport keeps things fresh to attract new fans.

Ever since the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport first appeared on the American market back in 2011, it has been a stylish option for active families. And thanks to the care designers paid to the crossover, the Outlander Sport continues to look as fresh and new as ever.

The 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport features a new and improved front fascia for a contemporary vibe. Updated slim headlights, wide fog lights, and a skid plate take their cues from the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. The new model also includes updated taillights with LED lighting and a skid plate.

The interior of the 2020 Outlander Sport delivers two minor details. Chrome and piano-black trim add an upscale look to the crossover. A larger eight-inch touchscreen display comes standard for the 2020 model year.

There’s no word on whether or not the new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport will feature a new engine. However, considering the model borrows several features from the Eclipse Cross, the turbocharged engine isn’t out of the question.

Buying a Used Car

Used Auto Dealership

Buying a used car is a big deal. After all, it’s a major investment that will need to last you for several years. Check out these helpful tips to ensure you buy the right used car.

Set a Budget

The first part of making any major purchase is setting and sticking to a budget. Determine how much you can afford per month. Don’t forget to include any state fees, like registration, and insurance. It’s a good idea to calculate your annual routine maintenance costs, as well.

Check the Vehicle History Report

Checking the vehicle history report is one way to boost your confidence when buying an older model. Most dealerships will provide a free vehicle history report for every model on the lot. By requesting a copy, you can make sure the car was properly cared for, has a clean title, and hasn’t undergone any major repairs.

Take a Test Drive

Once you’ve found the car you want and reviewed the vehicle history report, it’s time to take a test drive. Contact the dealership and schedule the test drive at your convenience. By scheduling ahead, you can ensure that the dealership will have the car ready for you when you arrive. This will help save time as you shop for your next ride.

While on the test drive, make sure to check the air conditioning and heat functions. Roll down all the windows and make sure the controls are within your reach. Drive like you normally would on your daily commute to ensure that the car is comfortable and performs smoothly.

Stop by Quebedeaux Mitsubishi to browse our current used-vehicle inventory. We’ll help match you with an auto that suits your needs and preferences.

Best Road Trip Games Adults Won’t Hate

Family Road Trip

Every road trip movie has a scene with some gruelingly boring road trip game that everyone in the car clearly hates having to play—but road trip games don’t have to be terrible. If you’re on the road with your kids or just a group of adult friends, here are the best road trip games adults might just have fun with.

Musical Games

Bring some fun to your long drive with pop culture-themed games, like Battle of the Bands, where one person picks a song category and two other players each play a song. The first player decides which one wins! There’s also the Singing Game, where you go around singing a song lyric each and the next player has to sing a line from a different song with related lyrics.

Games that Make You Think

Most road trip games are pretty mindless, but games that let you focus your attention on thinking hard will make time fly by. One example is the Name Game, where you name a celebrity and the next player has to name another celebrity whose name starts with the last letter of the last celebrity’s name. It doesn’t have to be a famous person—pick any category that interests you!

Word Games

Word Association and Alphabet Categories are two more games for a carful of wordsmiths. In Word Association, one person says a word and the next person says the first word that comes to mind and so on. In Alphabet Categories, you pick a category like food or instruments and name something from that category for each letter of the alphabet.

Seriously, Don’t Do the Bird Box Challenge While Driving

Bird box

Bird Box, the wildly popular new Netflix film adaptation of the Josh Malerman novel by the same name, has earned a place in internet history by achieving the peak of pop culture prestige: it inspired a meme.

The film’s main characters live in a world filled with monsters the sight of which makes humans kill themselves, so they protect themselves by wearing blindfolds when they go out. Naturally, the film’s fans—and then the entire internet—challenged themselves to go about their day in blindfolds.

The Bird Box Challenge, like the cinnamon challenge and the Tide Pod challenge before it, is sweeping the nation—often at the expense of public safety. A 17-year-old girl in Layton, Utah, for instance, took on the challenge while driving, pulling her hat down over her eyes and inevitably crashing into another car.

It should go without saying that you should never drive without being able to see. Both the Bird Boxer and the driver she hit came out of the accident unscathed, but it could have been much more serious. Don’t do the Bird Box Challenge while Driving—in fact, if you’re going to blindfold yourself, stay home. The general public will be safer for it.

If someone else driving like an idiot hits your car, come see us at Quebedeaux Mitsubishi to see what we have to replace it.
