Outdoor Events Near Tucson in March

Spring is officially just a few weeks away, but here in Arizona we’re already enjoying ideal weather. That means it’s time to head outdoors now before temperatures reach triple-digits in a few months. Here are some great outdoor events near Tucson in March that you should consider adding to your calendar.

    • March 3-5 Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention: Wander the streets of Old Tucson and you’ll feel like you’ve actually stepped back in time; arrive in a costume for even more fun. There will be train rides, concerts, street performers, and so much more.
    • March 1-April 2Arizona Renaissance Festival: Go back to the 16th century and watch jousting knights, watch actors perform live on stage, explore over 200 artisan stands, eat as many turkey legs as you can, and have a day filled with fun.

  • March 1-April 30Presidio Museum Walking Tours: This museum recreates the original Presidio, which encompassed about 11 acres of what is currently downtown Tucson. With these tours, you can get a more in-depth look at what daily life looked like in the late 1700s.
  • March 11-12Tucson Festival of Books: If you love books, be sure to head to this festival that will host more than 350 authors for panel discussions, presentations, and more. There will also be a special program for visitors of all ages.

Fall Arizona Events: Things to Do Near Tucson

Looking for fall Arizona events? There’s plenty to do in the state, whether you’re looking for an outdoor adventure, concert, or cultural experience. With a new Mitsubishi model, you’ll easily be able to explore the state, including some of the most memorable activities and events in recent years. Here’s a list of just some of the many things happening.

According to the Visit Arizona website, one of the most popular events in the area will include the Tucson Meet Yourself Folklife Festival. This will include a range of events and festival activities, including those hosted by Southern Arizona cultures and ethnic communities. You can eat some great food, see live performance, listen to music, and see folk art demonstrations. There will also be traditional dancers from the Pascua Yaqui tribe and the Tohono O’odham nation. This festival is from October 7 to 9.

You can also stop by the 31st annual Butterflied Overland Stage Days. This celebration recognizes the famous mail route that spanned from St. Louis to San Francisco. There will be music under the Ramada from October 7 to 9 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm (10am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday). There will also be a car show, vendors, art shows, food, and more.
