August Events in Tucson

There are way too many things going on in Tucson next month to list—there are 30 pages for August on VisitTucson.org’s event calendar! You’ll never run out of August events in Tucson to go to, but here are some of the coolest things going on.

One event being held every week is the Cinema La Placita film series, which shows classic films outdoors in the plaza of La Placita Village in downtown Tucson every Thursday through the end of August at 7:30pm. Admission is only $3! There are all kinds of summer-long events going on, including art shows and weekly concerts, so be sure to check out the event calendar.

If you’re an instrumental music fan, check out the performance by the famous group The Piano Guys on August 4 at the Tucson Music Hall. Nature and animal lovers should definitely hang out at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum on a Saturday night for Cool Summer Nights, where each week they stay late after the museum closes and watch the night animal life come out when the sun sets.

Tucson has something for everyone, from a Birding and Nature Festival for the birdwatching crowd to a youth triathlon organized by the Tucson Jewish Community Center. Wherever your interests lie, you’re sure to have fun in Tucson this summer!
