The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross contributed to stellar Mitsubishi June Sales.

Mitsubishi has been gaining ground over the past few years, and 2018 is turning out to be no different. Mitsubishi June sales skyrocketed 46 percent over the same time period last year. The Japanese automaker continues to gain ground thanks to vehicle affordability, style, and value.

The Mitsubishi Outlander led the charge with the largest sales gain, jumping from 2,313 in June 2017 to 3,380 units last month. Its affordability and impressive array of premium amenities have made it a top choice for drivers of all ages.

The 2018 Eclipse Cross arrives new for the model year, and the all-new crossover saw more than 800 units leave dealer lots in June alone. Upscale styling and a spacious interior make it a favorite of families.

More than 350 units of the fuel-efficient Outlander PHEV have left dealership lots so far this year, which is great considering it’s all-new this year. Its combination of high fuel economy and comfortable cabin make it a great choice for families who love spending time on the road.

So far, Mitsubishi June sales are keeping with the annual trend. Mitsubishi’s year-to-date sales at the midpoint of 2017 sat at just over 54,500 units. The end of June 2018 sets the Japanese automaker well ahead of where it was last year. Mitsubishi has sold more than 67,000 vehicles so far this year.

Mitsubishi Outlander Earns Spots on List of 10 Most Affordable 3-Row Vehicles

Many families that need room for seven or eight passengers usually don’t have bigger budgets for a brand new car. This is where Kelley Blue Book’s list of 10 Most Affordable 3-Row Vehicles comes in handy. For the fourth year in a row, the Mitsubishi Outlander has earned a place on this prestigious list.

This year, the 2017 Outlander takes the top spot as the most affordable crossover on the list. Along with its exceptional affordability, the Outlander was recognized for its well-equipped interior, off-road abilities, and excellent warranty.

The Outlander comes with one of the best warranties in the industry: a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty, a 7-year/100,000-mile anti-corrosion/perforation limited warranty, and a 5-year/unlimited mileage roadside assistance program.

Don Swearingen, executive vice president and chief operating officer, MMNA, said, “Outlander offers consumers a quality vehicle with room for seven passengers at an affordable price and is backed up with one of the leading warranties in the industry. We are proud to have Outlander recognized for its value proposition by one of the most reputable organizations in the industry.”

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Makes U.S. Debut

The all-new 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has premiered at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, and its debut was very anticipated.

The Outlander PHEV features a highly efficient 2.0-liter gas engine and two high-performance electric motors. Mitsubishi’s superior Super All-Wheel Control system makes the Outlander PHEV more capable than ever.

Three drive modes provide ultimate versatility, with EV (full electric mode), series hybrid (electric power with generator operation), and parallel hybrid (engine power and electric motor assistance). The Outlander PHEV will provide excellent efficiency by selecting the most efficient drive mode for the road conditions.

Advanced safety and convenience features will help to keep you safe and secure, too. The Multi-Around view Camera Monitor will increase your visibility and features like pedestrian detection capability will keep you and others safe. Technology doesn’t lack, either, with Apply CarPlay and Android Auto.

“Mitsubishi’s future is crossover utility vehicles and electrified vehicles. Today we are showing the first piece of that plan,” said Don Swearingen, executive vice president, MMNA.
